GABO is an innovative service company with 25 years of experience in the IT and consulting business employing more than 60 specialists from different fields of science. GABO:mi was founded in 2005 together with the development of :milliarium, a software product specifically designed for the management of EU Framework Programme projects. Since then GABO:mi has gained extensive expertise with diverse EU funding instruments and managed more than 20 projects, most of which in FP 6 and FP7 (i.e. GENDEP (IP), IMAGEN (IP); BNEII (NoE) NEWMEDS (IMI JU), Arise (CP), Cardiorisk (CP), NEMO (CP), OSPI (CP), EuroDSD (CP), SICA-HF (CP), EURIPIDES (CP), BetaImage (CP), etc.
Project managers with GABO:mi have widespread experiences in the management of EU Framework Programme projects. They are familiar with the structures of research institutions within Europe and beyond and with their governing principles. They are up-to-date with the regulations of the European Commission and its agencies. In order to ensure punctual and error-free submission of reports and financial statements, GABO:mi has developed the web-based project management tool :milliarium solely for the use of FP6/7 consortia. GABO:mi ’s competence and :milliarium were cited favourably by the European Parliament in the “Working Document 5 on grant application procedures and the Financial Regulation in connection with the Sixth Framework Programme for Research” (Committee on Budgets and Committee on Budgetary Control, 2005, p.8). GABO:mi is also certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 obligating for Excellence in cooperation with the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM).
