SEVENTH FRAMEWORK PROGRAMME

The Project - WP 01: Project Management (TUM)

Objectives

  • Ensure the proper functioning of the project in order to:
    - achieve the objectives
    - complete the milestones in time and
    - deliver the deliverables.
  • Make sure that the consortium's contractual duties are carried out. Support and strengthen the participants to comply with the EU regulations and their contractual and legal requirements. Abide by the "good practice" of resources management as presented in the Financial Guidelines.
  • Set-up an effective communication infrastructure and foster the integrative process within the consortium. 
  • Manage the processes for the capture and protection of intellectual property, including confidential information, copyright, design rights and patents properly.

Workpackage description

The management WP is led by Technical University of Munich (Technische Universität München, TUM). The German SME GABO:mi - with longstanding, hands-on expertise in the management of EU Framework projects - is acting as the right hand of the Coordinator and is a permanent help-desk for all project participants.
GABO:mi supports the coordinator for project management and controlling, contractual management, communication management and resources management. Hence, all issues relating to project administration will be handled professionally by GABO:mi.
Scientific coordination and management of the scientific activities and their progress is in the experienced hands of the Coordinator and the team in Munich.

WP leader

WP leader is Univ.-Prof. Dr. Michael Molls (Department of Radation Oncology, Technische Universtität München, Germany), Head of the Department of Radiation Oncology and has been involved in radiation biology and clinically related research for over 20 years. He has coordinated and advised several successful national and European large scale projects. He was member of the project board of a "Concerted Action Committee" in Biomedical Engineering of the European community. He was president of the German Society of Radiation Oncology and chairman of the Munich Cancer Centre. At present he is member of the board of directors of the “Munich Centre of Advanced Photonics” (a Cluster of Excellence funded by the 'Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft')
